FIREFLY! 

Backlight Toggle for MessagePad 2000 Software Button Bar

ABOUT -
Firefly is a simple application for the MessagePad 2000 that turns the backlighting on and off by tapping the Firely icon on the software button bar.  

A TIMESAVER - 
Unlike holding the power switch down to activate and deactivate backlighting, Firefly will turn backlighting on or off instantly.  

A single pen tap onscreen allows rapid access to backlighting without repositioning of the pen or hands to access the power switch. 

TO USE FIREFLY -
Drag the Firefly application icon to the software button bar.  To learn how to do this, please consult your MessagePad 2000 user's guide.  (Note: You may have to remove a current icon to make room for Firefly.)

Tap the Firefly icon on the software button bar to toggle backlighting on or off.

COMPATIBILITY AND OTHER ISSUES - 
While this application will work on other Newton devices supporting backlighting or even when accessed from the Extras Drawer, it is most useful when installed on the software button bar on the Message Pad 2000 with Newton 2.1 OS.
