Rocks in Spaceis intended to provide hours of enjoyment on your Newton. * What's in this archive?--------------------------------------------------------------------- There is one Newton software packages and two text files inthis archive. They are: * Rocks In Space.txt document you're now reading. 'Nuff said. * Rocks In Space.pkg software package you'll install on your Newton. * SAStuff.txt A list of all Stand Alone products.* Installing Rocks In Space--------------------------------------------------------------------- First off, you must get the Rocks In Space software package onto yourNewton. You can do this using the Newton Connection Utility (for Mac orWindows), the Newton Package Downloader, or the Newton BackupUtility. See the documentaion with each of these for moreinformation on installing packages with them.* Using Rocks In Space---------------------------------------------------------------------To play a game of Rocks in Space, tap on the opening screen. Your ship will appear in the center of the screen. You can control the ship with the 'control panel' at the bottom of the screen. The object of the game is to shoot the astroids and at the same time avoid the astroids that are flying around the screen.The easiest way to control your ship is to press on the control panel and drag your pen from control to control. The various controls are (from left to right) shoot, accelerate, rotate left, shoot, rotate right, accelerate, shoot. When you get killed, you can continue your game by tapping on the screen. Once you have no more lives a game over message will appear. To play a new game tap on the game over message.* Registering Rocks In Space--------------------------------------------------------------------- You have a 30 day trial period in which to examine Rocks In Space, during which it will function fully. Should you wish to register, you'll need to do one of the following: * Call us and pay using Visa or Mastercard. We can give you a password right over the phone: instant gratification! (773) 477-2492. * Send us a check for $15.00 to the address below. * Using CompuServe, GO SWREG. However you register, PLEASE be sure to include an email address(it's not vital, but it will result in MUCH speedier service) and your name, as entered in the Owner Info section of your Newton. This is used to generate the password we send you to unlock Rocks In Space, so it has to be exact. Once you register, you will receive a password from us. To use it,install the SAS Register package (also enclosed in the Rocks In Spacearchive), select "Rocks In Space" from the pop up menu at the top, and enterthe password. You should get a message confirming the password.
