* What's it do?

Font Pack adds an additional 12 fonts to your Newton, and enhances
the built-in styles palette, adding additional styles and sizes.	
		

* What's in this archive?
---------------------------------------------------------------------
	There are three Newton software packages and three text files in
this archive. They are:
	* fontpack.txt	document you're now reading. 'Nuff said.
	* fontpack.pkg	software package you'll install on your Newton.
	* SAStuff.txt	A list of all Stand Alone products.

* Installing Font Pack
---------------------------------------------------------------------
	First off, you must get the Font Pack software package onto your
Newton. You can do this using the Newton Connection Utility (for Mac or
Windows), the Newton Package Downloader, or the Newton Backup
Utility. See the documentaion with each of these for more
information on installing packages with them.

* Using Font Pack
---------------------------------------------------------------------
After installing Font Pack on your Newton, the styles palette will
be replaced with the Font Pack styles pallette.  You now have an
additional 12 fonts to choose from, and several new styles:  
superscript, subscript, italics, and outline.  You can check off
more than one at a time for a combination of styles.  You can 
also select several new sizes, ranging from 6 point to 72 point.

You can also minimize the styles palette by tapping on the small 
triangle on the right side of it.  Tapping on it again will return
it to full size.

In the preferences menu, accessed from the "i" button, is a selection
to add a small button to the status bar of the NotePad, which, when
tapped, will open up the styles palette.

NOTE:  Font Pack does not support PostScript printers.  

* Registering Font Pack
---------------------------------------------------------------------
	You have a 30 day trial period in which to examine Font Pack, 
during which it will function fully. After 30 days, you'll need to
pay the $20 registration fee.  Should you wish to register, 
you'll need to do one of the following:

	* Call us and pay using Visa, Mastercard, or American Express. 
	  We can give you a password right over the phone: instant gratification!
	  (773) 477-2492.

	* Send us a check for $20 to the address below.
		
	* Using CompuServe, GO SWREG #14027.

	* Register online via our web page at http://www.standalone.com/newton
	
	However you register, PLEASE be sure to include an email address
(it's not vital, but it will result in MUCH speedier service) and 
your name, as entered in the Owner Info section of your Newton. 
This is used to generate the password we send you to unlock Font Pack, 
so it has to be exact.

	Once you register, you will receive a password from us. To use it,
install the package, open up the styles palette, select "Register"
from the styles palette and enter the password. You should get a message confirming the password.
