When the package is launched, the user is greeted with a keypad, where the correct passcode must be entered. There are over 10 million possible password combinations. All data, including the password, is encrypted, making it unreadable with a soup editor. ¥ WHAT IT COSTSPrivateAccess is freeware.¥ CREATING AN ENTRYTo create a new entry, type its title in the first field, and its corresponding "sensitive" data in the data field. Click SAVE, and the data is saved to your Newton. The title you entered now shows up in the popup menu at the top of the window.¥ CHANGING THE PASSCODENOTE: When you use PrivateAccess for the first time, the passcode is "0". Tap the ZERO button to unlock the program.Your next step should be to change the passcode to one of your choice. The passcode can only be changed once you've entered the current passcode and unlocked PrivateAccess. Click CHANGE PASSWORD and then, using the number pickers that appear, enter a new passcode TWICE using up to 7 digits. If you want a passcode using less than 7 digits, leave the LEFT-MOST digits set to zero; they will be ignored by PrivateAccess. If the two numberpickers do not display the same passcode, the change will not take place.EXAMPLE:Set passcode to "123"Number Pickers would read "0000123"To unlock PrivateAccess, you only need enter "123".Don't forget your passcode; there is no other way to get in to see your data!¥ ABOUT DATA ENCRYPTION All data stored by PrivateAccess if fully encrypted. This means that your data canÕt be viewed in its true form by a soup editor. Encryption and decryption are automatic and transparent, meaning that you donÕt need to perform any action to fully protect your data.¥ SCREEN ORIENTATIONPrivateAccess can be used in either screen orientation. However, if you change screen orientations while running PrivateAccess, you wonÕt be able to see part of the window properly. To change the screen orientation, quit PrivateAccess, change your screen orientation, then restart PrivateAccess.¥ REQUIREMENTSNewton MP2000¥ ABOUT THE PROGRAMMINGDirector was written with NS Basic.
